GG Grammar Games

Twelve ways to play any skill in your FIX it! bank. Four are built for the projector and the whole class; eight are for students on their own. Every game uses the same questions and the same scoring, so pick the world your class will love.

Grammar games your class will ask to play again.

Pick a grade band and a skill once, then play or assign any game below. No timers, no chance, nothing to buy. Every miss shows the why before a retry, and assigned games report first-try accuracy back to you.

Whole class, on the projector

Host live: students join on their own devices and answer at their own pace while the class board fills. Or play on one screen.

Independent, on their own device

Retry until correct. Assigned rounds report to you.
How hosting works. Host live opens the projector page with a six-character code. Students go to thegrammarthattalksback.com/game-room.html, tap "Joining a live game?", and enter the code and a nickname. No student accounts, nothing collected but the nickname. Each student plays the whole round alone at their own pace; the board on your screen fills as they go, and the score that counts is first-try accuracy. End game when you are ready and the board shows the results.
How assigning works. Assign opens the assignment creator with this skill and game already chosen. Students join with the code as usual and land in that game with the band and skill locked; round length stays their choice. Whole-class games never record an individual score. The classic games page is still there for a plain view.
